Alumni Society Raises $17,000 for Students and Alumni Programming

On November 27, the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society raised more than $17,000 at the Ag Live alumni tailgate prior to the Penn State vs. Michigan State game.

The money raised directly benefits the Ag Alumni Society’s scholarships, internship awards, and other student and alumni programs. The live auction of valuable items included football packages; autographed Penn state sports memorabilia; Philadelphia flower show packages, hotel and bed & breakfast stays.

Hundreds of Ag alumni and friends enjoyed the tailgate excitement while eating Berkey Creamery ice cream. Many folks stayed at the Ag Arena to enjoy the game on a large screen television and continue the Penn State Ag camaraderie. Mark you calendar for Ag Live 2011 on November 12 when Penn State takes on Nebraska.
